What is the treatment philosophy of Lynn E. Lytton, MD?

Lynn E. Lytton, MD is a born and bred Texan. Her treatment philosophy is that addiction is a medical problem and should be treated as such, and using shame, guilt, or blame for the illness makes as much sense as using shame, blame, or guilt with cancer. On the other hand, people are 100% accountable for the hurt they caused while in the grips of addiction, and much of the counseling that is provided is about how to improve yourself and make meaningful amends to the people you’ve hurt.

What are the hobbies of Lynn E. Lytton, MD?

When she’s not at the office, she sings with Chorus Austin, plays several instruments, and enjoys martial arts, having mostly studied Aikido and Tai Chi. Dr. Lytton is a devoted reader and is particularly fond of J.R.R. Tolkien’s work but outside of fantasy, she also has an extensive collection of science fiction and young adult literature.

Dr. Lytton loves the outdoors and has been camping in Texas her entire life, and enjoys hiking, backpacking, and kayaking, and if the weather isn’t hot enough to melt shoe rubber, she’s going to try to get outside to enjoy it!
